no literally this is how its been the last couple weeks
#leaving the call center to start a job that'll give me a 'maybe rent an apartment' level pay increase and a 4 day weekend#antidepressants may or may not be working but I've been able to engage with my biggest hobby in a way that's been difficult for months#got a guitar so now i have ANOTHER hobby I'm having fun getting started in and not being discouraged when I'm not good at it right away#yknow for once. unlike i usually am with everything i try to do#and using a lot more of my second language and realizing that im actually pretty decent at it so i have a new motivation for practice again#also i was just luxuriating yesterday in the fact that i went a whole couple of weeks without any Fucking Things happening#you know how adulthood is just one Fucking Thing after another and every time you finally put out one fire theres like 3 more#well for the first time i went like 2 full weeks without any Fucking Things happening i got to just live my damn life.#so yeah things in late January were actually going really good for me as long as i don't remember every few minutes that#i and my community are at the center of the culture war and being directly targeted by several evil regimes around the world.#avpost

You know when you're tired and getting more and more cross with yourself because you can't do a basic thing like build a whole corner lot plot that's supposed to fit in with the rest of courtyard lane that's perfect and within budget for the Newbie family?
Okay, maybe not that specific. But you know when you're tired and you start judging yourself really harshly because GOSH DARNIT you should be able to do this?!
And you steadily get more and more angry at yourself until you want to throw something across the room in a dramatic temper tantrum?
But you CAN'T POSSIBLY give up, because damnit!! YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS!
And so you get angrier.... etc.
When really all it boils down to is being a grumpy, overtired perfectionist who could just benefit from stopping, getting an early night and revisiting it tomorrow after looking for inspiration on the internet?

I made myself an excel trying to grasp transport time and price for different routes and I think I've come to the conclusion that if I want to go for 3 concerts the best will be to either go for Berlin-Cologne-Hamburg or Hamburg-Frankfurt-Munich
#yes I am a nerd x'D#(taking Zürich will cost around 67 euro extra but also give me two days of “rest” aka time I need to spend on a hotel)#so my intuision with hamburg was correct :'D#now I just need to figure out if I want the first or second part of the german tour xD#i know that the munich people had a pretty good time (with jere saying hi and everything) last year + I have friends maybe going there#so that is talking in its favour#however berlin last year was amazing plus it is in the weekend so that speaks for the first part of the tour#I think I might need more thinking time but I got closer to something x'D#micahs foolery#micahs thoughts#käärijä eu tour 2024

it's literally not a good idea in any way shape or form but I want to get a second job in fast food
#it's not a good idea bc the wages are GARBAGE compared to retail#Macca's base rate for my age is less than half my sunday rate#and they don't get much beyond the base rate#whereas retail we have an incredible base rate AND more weekdays past 6pm and weekends (sat is the same as mon-fri 6pm#and sunday is significantly more)#and like yeah im not getting many shifts but if i were to ask for more I still wouldn't be able to work more than 4 hour shifts til july#bc my retail corporation is surprisingly ethical and extends the age limits by a lot#whereas my friend has a 7.5 half hour shift tomorrow AFTER school. on a week night 😁#which is actually horrifying and should nawwt be legal. thats school 9-3 (+20 min) then work 4-11:30 btw#like i should just wait til my birthday in july n ask for more shifts in retail but i want to try fast food#even though the pay is incredibly ridiculously bad (<10 AUD) (yes our adult minimum wage is a good ~23 but under 21 is a percentage of that#like the pay is so bad so i would earn the same or more doing wayy less hours than retail#but i kinda want to get the fast food experience bc it'll be more difficult to get hired as i age#bc i want to save up 20k for top surgery but at the rate im going it'll be difficult to have even thay#let alone savings after top surgery or money to get a car before#and as school gets more difficult it'll be harder to work more#so maybe i should just grind for a few months or til the end of the year then go back to retail exclusively?#and enjoy higher pay and some longer shifts?#but idkkk it's just such a dilemma bc i want more shifts than I'll get at retail but fast food pays so little#but i also really want the experience and to just try it out#im gonna. idk im gonna sit on it for a bit bc i want to get my legal name change sorted before i apply to any second jobs and that will#take a while#so i shall consider. draw up a timetable. write a pros and cons list#yes that sounds like a solid plan#whoop typo but im on mobile i meant 'wayy less hours IN retail'#oscar.exe

#evidence that my contract will be renewed... having income is important.#car might be fixed soon...... got through annoying family stuff this weekend#the job thing is conflicting because i would get more money at another job which would be good for all the recent EXPENSES#but a nontrivial fraction of them involve selling my soul#turns out specializing in [REDACTED] mostly has applications in [REDACTED. A SECOND TIME].#and i sleep well with the work i currently do... you can argue about usefulness but it's 100% neutral.#honestly i would love to write about my past interest in That but it would almost certainly be misconstrued as me being evil as a child so.#maybe not.
